GMMCO Launches Its First Rental Store

GMMCO's endeavour has always been to improve its offerings - products or services - to meet customer requirements and provide multi-fold options. GMMCO reached yet another milestone on its journey to become a total solution provider when its first Rental Store was launched in March this year at the central Indian city of Nagpur, located at the geographic center of India.

The Cat Rental Store concept has been introduced by Caterpillar dealers to meet the changing requirements of customers and provide complete rental solutions from big construction equipment to hand tools, all available to rent, for a flexible length of time. Rental Stores afford a unique solution to those customers who do not have the need to procure capital machinery - customers who rent for short-term duration, face capital constraints, or outsource non-core activities.

In providing customers with comprehensive rental solutions, GMMCO takes advantage of its ability to offer customers the traditional Caterpillar product line, and an entirely new range of smaller tools and equipments, along with Cat Merchandise. Added to this mix is the technical expertise of GMMCO in product support services.

Equipments in the Rental Yard include Excavators, Loaders, Graders, Backhoe loaders, Generator Sets, Transit Mixers, etc., covering the whole construction equipment spectrum.

Cat Merchandise features a wide variety of shirts, T-shirts, scale models, watches, caps and shoes for the brand conscious customer. With a range of specialized tools added to the list, this store is sure to satisfy any customer's job site expectations.

The first Rental Store of GMMCO was inaugurated by Stu Levenick, Group President of Caterpillar and was also attended by Rod Beeler, Vice President of Caterpillar Asia Pacific Marketing, Graham Lythgoe, India Region Manager, Albert Brown, Operations Managing Director of the India Region, John Mohr, President of India Power Systems and Don Dasaro, District Manager.

Nearly 200 customers attended the Rental Store Inaugural, demonstrating their interest in the development and their commitment to the GMMCO - Caterpillar partnership.
